Work, Power and Simple Machines

For this learning activity you will be assigned a learning group of 4 people.  Each person will have a specific role within the group, however, each person is still responsible for looking at all the materials and keeping in touch with the other members on their progress.  Your grade will be evaluated on your interaction with your team and with the performance of your team on the various tasks.   

Team leader: This is the person who will keep a log of any group meetings or work that has been accomplished.  The team leader is also the person who will account for each part of the project.  This job requires organization, good writing skills, active listening, and hard work.

Team Reporter:  The Reporter must ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed and submitted on time.  This person is responsible for leading the team in the creation of the simple machines collage.  This job requires creativity, leadership, organization, and good communication skills. 

Team Researcher: This researcher will lead the teams research and make sure that everyone is on track with their online progress.    This job requires that the Researcher be able to keep up with their team mates progress and guide them on their journey.  . This role requires critical thinking, good questioning, self-confidence, and a willingness to help others.

Construction Worker-This member is responsible for overseeing the actual construction of the final marble drop and the presentation that goes with it.  This person needs to have construction related skills, creative thinking, leadership and good communication.  The Construction worker will need to oversee the making of a blueprint for the marble drop and the collection of any materials needed to build the construction.
