Students will work in groups of 5 people.

The objective will be to do a presentation which includes a new project or event for Halloween annual festival. The event you have to design will have to be an creative proposal and it has to be related to the Halloween festival. Thus, it has to include the different traditions that are celebrated all around the world. The event can be presented in a way of a performance, an attraction, a cooking contest, a market, etc. that reflects the traditions and culture of the different countries where this well-known festival is held every year.

For this task, you are required to:

Do some research on the origins of Halloween.
Compare and analyse traditional events that take place for Halloween in different countries.
Come up with an creative proposal which is realistic, doable and attracts the people's attention.
Include more than one country's traditions in the same project.
The learning goals of this activity are to get closer to the traditions and festivals from different countries and to be able to create or design a new attraction which is connected with this particular festival, from the aforementioned research. These objectives will help develop your creativity, reflection, decision-taking ability and awareness of the importance of each country's culture and identity through their festivals.

In order to show your ideas you will have to explain your project to the rest of the groups and create a presentation which supports your choice and explanation (no more than 8 min) which can be presented in a power point or prezi presentation (8-10 slides) in which you should include:

An brief introduction about the origins of Halloween.
A brief presentation of your project and the target audience that is aimed to.
A report on why your project is attractive and the justification of your choice.
Explanation of the different parts that the attraction, the show or the event is composed of, by showing the different traditions you wanted to incorporate in your project (at least two different).
Argumentation to convince the rest of the groups that your attraction is the most suitable, attractive and the spookiest one to be included in Halloween celebration.

Good luck!!
