The Old English and Medieval Periods of Literature

The goal today is to learn more about the Old English and Medieval periods in England.

To do that, you are going to use the resources given in this WebQuest to do a little research and take some notes.  After you finish the WebQuest, you will pick one topic, idea, or aspect of Old English or Medieval culture that you think is the coolest or most interesting, and make a short PowerPoint on it to share with the class.

For example, my favorite aspect of the Medieval period is chivalry.  Once I have completed the WebQuest and answered all of the comprehension questions, I will then make a short PowerPoint sharing some facts about chivalry.

Requirements for completing this WebQuest and the follow-up PowerPoint assignment:

• access the resources in the WebQuest
• read, watch, or listen
• take notes and answer the questions 
• decide on your favorite thing that you've learned
• make a short PowerPoint

Tomorrow, everyone will share their PowerPoints in class, and hopefully we will all learn something really cool!
