Task on Environment

The school is facing a  major problem with pollution and want some assistance from you the students. The school is located in the

rural area of  Montego Bay, St. James, Jamaica W.I. The students are complaining that more trees need to be planted and mores garbage

needs to be put in designated areas, so they can discard their garbage. The principal has decided that the school need to put in some

strong measures to curve and stem such situation which is affecting our school environment. Students will be placed In groups, go

through the Process page individually, then come together to create a plan for the school to assist with the pollution problem that is

putting a strain on the environment on our human beings, plant and animal friends, as well as help administration, reduce the existing

Students must use a chart and powerpoint presentation to assist other students in the classroom and school to learn and identify what

causes pollution in and around the environment, this will be an assignment for them to do and present on.


Students will learn how to:
1. Identify the sources of pollution (manmade and natural).

2. Identify preventive measures that they can take to reduce pollution.

3. Students will be able to identify key concepts related to the impacts of pollution on health, ecosystem, property, and

economy and link the concepts together in an understandable manner. This activity will help the students construct

and understand meaningful relationships using the chart and power point presentation.

4. Students will be placed into groups of 5-6 members and a presentation will be done in front of the class, along with a chart and a

powerpoint.

5. This task will be done within a 30 minutes duration for each group.
