Let's Hear What Other People's Voices Sound Like

Task One

You will watch a video about public speaking. In this video, you will explore all of the key practices of public speaking. It is imperative to pay close attention because you will see these terms used again. 

Task Two

You will be given a handout of Drum! Beat! Drum! By Walt Whitman. Once, you have retrieved this document you will follow along carefully and wait for your assigned time to read your part.

Task Three

You will be given a set of links and it is your job to define all of the terms using the links provided.

Task Four

This is where it gets challenging! You will be given challenges and it is your goal to defeat these challenges by answering the questions properly.

Task Five

You will create your own short poem using one of the poetry styles you discovered on the voyage! After you have created your piece of literature, you will be given 2-3 minutes to prepare and 5 minutes to present it in front of your peers. During your presentation, you should be displaying the seven key concepts of public speaking. Make sure to incorporate poetic terms in your writing!
