This course is designed to provide information on the cycle of change process, principals of Motivational Interviewing (MI), the  skills of motivational interviewing to elicit change talk using OARS, and observing how MI works during  a patient telephone encounter. After the completion of the course you will:

1. Recognize where the patient is in the stages of change cycle

2. Accurately list the four principals of MI

3. Identify the elements of OARS

4. Apply MI skills to a scenario
