Explanation of the Tasks of the Web Quest Creator and the Web Quest Learning Partner

The Task of the Web Quest Creator is to design a Web Quest which will introduce your Learning Partner (and anyone else who views your Web Quest) to the topic you have chosen to study in depth. Your purpose should be to present accurate information about your topic in an engaging manner, using the best resources you can find to post on your Web Quest site. Your Web Quest material should be geared to a college- level audience. Edit your posted written work to make sure it contains no spelling or grammar errors. Strive to present information about your topic with both clarity and creativity.

  1. The Web Quest Process Section should include no fewer than five excellent resources, and no more than ten.
An interesting Web Quest would be one which includes a variety of media. Consider using any of the following:
  •  Professional grade educational websites on the topic
  •  A Power Point presentations ( You could design your own, if you can't find one you like.)
  •  Journal articles,
  • Good quality videos ( hopefully with transcripts or captioning),
  • Newspaper, magazine, and research articles from credible sources
  • Book or film excerpts ( Include a brief explanation f why you think them signifcant ).
  • statistical or demographic  data
  • Tables
  • Timelines
  • Images
  • Learning Games

2. The Web Quest Creator must also add your own Research Paper to this Web Quest. Follow the Guidelines provided in our MyLearning classroom for writing the paper.( Be sure to use APA format and include a Bibliography or Works Cited page.) Post your completed andcarefully edited research paper on your Web Quest  topic, using the tool: +Modules found near the bottom of the Web Quest navigation panel. Just click on it and you will betaken  to a page where you can add your own Research Paper Title and information.

3. The Web Quest Creator must post two original learning assessment documents in the Evaluation Section of the Webquest:
  • The Web Quest Homework Assignment: Consisting of 20 questions on the content of the Webquest. (This assignment will be worth 20 points)
  • The Web Quest Quiz: Consisting of 10 items.  (It may be multiple choice, or true/false.  (The site provides a quiz maker which allows you to easily produce a multiple choice or true/false quiz.) If you prefer to make your own and use short answer or fill-in-the blank questions, post it as a Word Document which can be downloaded by your Learner.

4. To complete the Tasks of the Web Quest Project, the Web Quest Creator must provide the instructor with the following typed  paper documents in class:

  • A  word document with your  full name,  the title of your Web Quest, and the Public  Website Address  provided by  Zunal.
  • A  copy of the Web Quest Homework Assignment with an Answer Key.
  • A copy of the Web Quest Quiz and Answer Key.
  • A  copy of your completed Web Quest, (As it appears using the Zunal tool for creating a PDF or Word Document of the Web Quest. Note that all of it will not appear in the document they provide. That is why it is essential that I receive the Website address of your Web Quest. so I may review it in its entirety online.
  • A copy of your Bibliography.

The Task of the Web Quest Learning Partner is to:
  1. Review the material presented in the Web  Quest. Imagine that you will be using it to prepare a lecture or paper on the topic of the Web Quest.
  2. Complete the Web Quest Homework Assignment. within one week of obtaining the Web Quest website address. Make a paper copy of your completed assignment and submit it to your Web Quest Creator/Partner for grading.
  3. Complete the Web Quest Quiz and submit it online and in paper form to the Web Quest Creator/Partner.
