Let's Play Fractions!

Task

p2110325.jpg

Before you play the games, let me tell you something important: I need master players who will become members of my FRACTION WHIZ KIDS GROUP who will serve as "fraction game tutors" to your peers in our school. Hence, as a master player, you will be assisting  your fellow kids to play the same games, too.

Now, let me give you further instructions to make sure you will become master players.

    While you play each game, see to it that you also understand thoroughly the key concepts that are used in the game. Because, you as master player will also explain these terms to your fellow kids who will need your tutorial service.

     I will facilitate in forming the class into groups, each will have 3 members.

    All of you will be playing the games, of course. I challenge you to master the games. Your high-level mastery may give you greater advantage in accomplishing the three tasks that your group is required to demonstrate: EXERCISES PART A, EXERCISES PART B, and POSTER PRESENTATION. To come up with an excellent output in each of the three tasks, you should actively collaborate with each other. Discuss among yourselves in seeking answers to the exercises. Work as a team when planning and designing your group poster.

    Furthermore, to ease the task, you might as well feel the need to assign each one of you a special role to play. The roles are as follows:

The Record Keeper will lead the group in taking down notes and organizing the required outputs.

The Poster Artist will lead the group in designing the poster for presentation and preparing for oral presentation to be done in the whole class.

The Time Manager will lead the group in monitoring the time during designing and implementation of planned activities, providing time and activity updates, and making necessary follow-ups to each member.

Furthermore, you need to do any other tasks that you believe are closely related to your role.

Choose the role you are most inclined to perform. Meet as a group regularly at your convenient time and place. Be active in your group.

Now, it’s time to play! Click on "Process."
