Investigate (Lesson 1)

Investigate vehicles that could be built out of the materials listed in the Introduction Tab - Research and gather your findings to share with your groups.

Questions to help you get started:

• What is a vehicle?
• Does it need to have a motor?
• What vehicles don't use wheels?
• What materials move through vertical distance (height) as opposed to distance?
• Which vehicle would be the most appropriate for Jack to use?
• Consider the mass of the egg (60grams) and its size. Does this affect the travelling speed?
• Is there anything we could do to help Jack slow the fall of the egg, so that it does not break?

REMEMBER! Make sure you ask yourself 'Does my vehicle meet the need?'

Now that you have decided on your chosen vehicle, do more research on it and complete the PMI worksheet.
