Animal Research Project
Process
Each student will choose an animal they wish to research (we will do this in class). They will use a research fact sheet to find specific information at school and at home about the animal they have chosen. The pages are attached and need to be printed for use. The library, internet, and encyclopedia are good research tools. Students will be given time during class to go to the school library to find books about their animal they have chosen. Then, they will use the information they have gathered about the animal to create some type of display about the animal. Some examples of your final project are: a student- made poster, a student-made book, a costume of the animal that the student can wear, a mobile about the animal that lists the information gathered during research, or a student-created poem or song about an animal that includes all information requested on the research sheet. The students will be required to present the final project to the class. Rehearsing the presentation at home may be helpful for the student.
