Process for Second Task (level 2): Federal Relocation program
· visit the “RWS Series: Concrete Indians – Portraits of the Urban Indian Experience” at http://www.redworks.ca/?page_id=1841
· Write “Relocation & the Urban Indian Experience” at the top of an index card.
· Describe the Relocation program and the urban Indian experience based off classroom discussion and the RWS Series.
· The cards will be collected before the end of class.

· As you listen answer multiple choice questions using the QUIZ TAB on the webquest.

Day 1-2
The Klamath were terminated as a tribe in the 1950s, and they were no longer eligible for federal housing, social services, medical program, economic development, or educational assistance.

- Review the steps a tribe must take to gain federal recognition using the graphic organizer "Federal Recognition of Indian Nations."
- Complete the graphic organizer "Federal Recognition of Indian Nations" by visiting the sites appropriate for your group.
