PHASE 1:

Using the series of links below in the "attachment" section,you will gather information on the Holocaust and the life of Anne Frank. The first link is a 40 minute documentary on the life of Anne Frank. The second link is an article and video overview of the Holocaust. The third link is from the Smithsonian and provides visual's of Anne's actual diary. The fourth and final link discusses Anne Frank's significance in history. You will each read or watch all these sources.


PHASE 2:

Using the resources provided, you will take notes as you gather information on Anne Frank. It is up to you to decide how you will assign responsibilities in your group. Will you have designated jobs? Or will you all work in groups to accomplish your goal? For the essay, you can assign each member with the responsibility of writing one of the body paragraphs. OR one group member can be in charge of writing the whole paper for the group. Remember to split the workload evenly amongst group members.



 

PHASE 3:

In this phase you will actually begin creating. Remember that there are three components to this project: an essay, a visual aid, and a presentation.

    The Essay: This essay will be over the topic of the Holocaust, Anne Frank's life/diary, and her role in history. In order to receive full credit your essay needs to be 2-3 pages, double spaces, 12 point times new roman, MLA format.

    The Visual Aid: For your project you will need a visual aid on the topic of the Holocaust and Anne Frank. This could include but is not limited to a PowerPoint, a poster board, etc. Be creative with this visual aid.

    The Presentation: Your presentation must be a minimum of 15 minutes long. Each group member must have a part in your presentation. Get creative! You can be interactive and involve your classmates. During your presentation you need to explain Anne Frank's life and her significance in the Holocaust.
