This assessment will be completed on your own but you may have other students look at final project for input. The Quest should take you one week to complete. Throughout this week you will conduct a number of different researches to gain insight to a healthy living style. By the end of the week you will have completed a weekly fitness plan, which includes exercise, target heart rate, and overall goal. Use the following steps to guide you.


1.  The following video, shows the importance of being fit and staying motivated: Video

2.  Find your Target Heart Rate

3.  Different type of intensity levels affect what type of working out you are doing.  Understanding the differences are important for any plan.   Look at the article, "Exercise intensity: How to Measure it"

4.  The only way for the plan to be successful is by having goals.  Watch this YouTube video on, S.M.A.R.T. goal setting method and then do some of your own research on goal setting.

5. What are the benefits of staying healthy? Link

6.  How often should you be working out and how long?  Use the following links to answer that question: Article 1 & Article 2
