  • 1. Pick one native South Florida plant to start.

(The example we are using in this WebQuest is the Milkweed. So your plant CANNOT be that.)

Here is a website where several native Florida plants can be found. Remember we are only looking at SOUTH Florida.

2. Decide on one connection between the native plant you have chosen, and a topic to talk about, all topics that are appropriate to talk about can be found on the tasks page. (Example. The milkweed plant, it is beneficial to other insects, like, the monarch butterfly)

Native Plant--> The Milkweed

Connected Beneficial Topic--> Other insects

3. Once you have picked both your native South Florida plant (ex. The Milkweed), and the connection (ex. Insects). Gather as much information between the two, write down notes to prove your connections.

4. Draw a picture and label the plant you have chosen. You are more than welcome to color it. Don't forget, BELOW the picture in four to five sentences, write about the connection between your plant and the topic you chose whether it be; food, water, air, animals, habitat, climate, medicine, etc.
