Step 1 – Log onto noteflight

    If you forgot your username or password please contact me ASAP!

Step 2 – create a new score

Step 3 – put group member names into composer line

    You may work in a group of 1-3 people.  If you choose to work in a group,  Choose your partners carefully!  

Step 4 – write a melody with these lyrics or use your own lyrics:

    St. Thomas More school is the place to be.

    We're learning with friends and family.

    Sharing our faith and having lots of fun,

    We know our school is number one!

    Working hard to make the grade

    Catholic values never fade

    Even as we travel from sea to sea

   (We know) St Thomas More school is the place to be!

Step 5 – add harmonies using and chord symbols

    Your harmonies can be as simple as whole note triads in each measure or the triads can change every beat.  Don't forget to add those chord symbols!

Step 6 – listen to the song to make sure it sounds ok.

    Ask yourself these questions:

• Does the melody sound like I wanted it to?
• Do the harmonies fit?
• is my song long enough?

Step 7 – give the song a title and list yourself and your group as the composers

Step 8 – make the song “public” on noteflight and share a link on our google docs page
