Pythagoras Theorem

The Pythagoras theorem states that "The square on the hypotenuse of a right triangle is equal to the sum of the squares on the two legs". Click here for more information.

Step 2:  With this theory students can use a graph sheet to draw a triangle and label it ABC with the adjacent sides measuring 4cm and 3cm. they will now use the Pythagoras Theorem to find the length of the other side. After finding the answer students can use a ruler to measure this side to see if the theorem has worked.

Step 3:  Click here to watch a video that will highlight the three parts of the triangle and solution to compute longest side.

Step 4: Are you ready to hear more about Pythagoras Theorem click on the Podcast link at the bottom of the page.

Step 5: What students can do throughout their day to day activities they can try to find diagrams depicting right angle triangle. Click here  to see some of the shapes you may see throughout your daily activities.

Step 6: View the website at the bottom of the page to see questions related to Pythagoras theorem and how you can solve questions using this theorem.

Step 7: Students can now do a little quiz to help them out with these problems lets visit Quizlet. Click here.

Step 8: Now Back to the question with you and your friend john, and with the help from these various sites. use your knowledge and understanding to approached this question and solve it.
