Step 1: Write responses to 3 of the following questions:

1. Discuss a time you were bullied. What emotions did you feel? In what positive and negative ways did you deal with these emotions?

2. Discuss a time you think you may have bullied another. What motivated you to do this? In retrospect, how would you have behaved differently?

3. What, in your opinion, distinguishes bullying from typical teenage teasing, joking, and bantering?

4. How is bullying/cyber bullying viewed differently in other cultures with which you are familiar?

5. Discuss someone you know who has been bullied. Why do you think that this person was singled out? How was that person's life affected?

6. Discuss your thoughts on the Tyler Clementi case. Is the perpetrator responsible for Tyler's death? Why or why not? [answer these questions on Google Docs and submit to Google Classroom]

Step 2: Research--You will view a series of videos, explore websites, and read online articles and blogs about characteristics, statistics, real-life incidents, and consequences of bullying.

    A. Create a bibliography to organize and cite your information.  I am looking for evidence that you put good effort into finding relevant information and noted where you found it, it does not have to be a perfectly formatted citations. Be sure you collect information from six different sources to earn a high score; be sure that your search includes information that addresses the four essential questions found in the Introduction Tab.

Step 3: Campaign--Create your informative campaign (it can be an informative video, poster, pamphlet, PowerPoint, or webpage) that educates and cautions other teens and/or the general public about the growing dangers of bullying, the need for stricter policies to prevent it, and sources of help for those who fall victim to it. Be sure to include any statistics, characteristics, and any real-life examples you have found.
