A. Phase 1: Based on your group number assigned to you, click on the appropriate link and read about your culture.  There are several different tabs on the left side of the page--be sure to click on each and read about every part of your country.  When clicking on the "Sightseeing Guide" locations, press and hold on the iPad to view the information.  As you read, remember to think about what it would be like if YOU lived there.  Write down a few thoughts as you read.  Possible topics to write about: school, family, jobs, sports, food, music, pets, leisure, friends, dating, places to visit, history, etc.

Be sure to learn a few words of the language spoken there as well.  You will include these new language skills in your presentation!

B. Phase 2: Now that you have read about and taken some notes about your culture, decide how you will share about "your day" with the class.  Will you write a diary entry ("Dear Diary"), perform a skit, draw a detailed picture?  Brainstorm and come up with an idea.  As you create your project, make the ideas your own.  If the student you read about enjoyed math but you enjoy music, change it!  You must include the following information in some way:
     I. A description of "your day" from start to finish--make it unique to you
II. At least two words or phrases from your country's language (if you are researching Uganda or Namibia, you will need to do this research on your own)
III. Several interesting things about your country that people should see when they come visit
     IV. Creativity is important!

C. Phase 3: Demonstrate what you have learned about your country's culture by sharing from the perspective of a student from your country.  You will present your project to the class, whether it be a journal entry, a performance, or something else.  Regardless of what you create, you will be asked to share with the class what you have learned.
