First you are going to learn about Jules Verne's novel Around the World in 80 Days. You will write down information on the Around the World in 8o Days sheet I have provided you with.
1. Read information about the book, main character, and the author.

2. Explore Phileas Fogg's journey around the world. Second you will explore the seven  continents and the four oceans.
1. Write down important facts about the seven continents and oceans by visiting these websites. Take notes on the Continents and Oceans sheet I have provided you with.
2. Listen to songs about the seven continents and the four oceans. For the TeacherTube videos you will need to click the X on the advertisement before you can watch the video.
Third you will choose a country from each of the six of the seven continents and take notes in your passport about the country.
1. For each country you choose: Read information about the geography, nature, history, culture, government, and fast facts. Watch a video on each of the countries.
2. Take notes on what you find is important in your passport.

Fourth you will make a postcard for three of the countries you chose to research. Pick your three favorite countries that you visited today. You have three postcards and one postcard example.
1. On the front write the name of the country and draw a picture of what you found the most interesting about the country.
2. Write a letter to a friend or family member explaining what you learned and saw on your journey to the country.

Fifth write me a message on the Edmodo message board.
1. Let me know what country was your favorite country to visit and why.
2. Tell me one important fact about the 7 continents and the 4 oceans.

Sixth play an Around the World in 80 Days game. (Optional)
