With a partner, pick a field of interest from the following list to become a field expert:

• Electronics Field
• Household Gadgets/Appliances
• Future Uses of Electromagnetism
   

Do some research on an application of electromagnetism within your field of choice.  The following website is a great place to start as it breaks down the different fields.  It is by no means an exhaustive list, but a good place to start.  http://www.greenwichschools.org/page.cfm?p=3170

Answer the following questions in your journal:

• How does your application of work overall?
• How does is use electromagnets?
• How is your application important to our society?
• Why should your field receive additional research funds?

In groups of two, prepare a short presentation which answers the questions above.  You may use posterboard, diagrams, models, videos, websites, powerpoint or any other vehicle that will help you persuade the NSF to fund your project. 

Make sure you take the quiz on the class website after you complete this Webquest.  The quiz will be on material from the readings and video.
