Key Questions

Running Teams

The running teams will be actively involved in putting together a campaign for each team's party.

As a running team you will need to address the following key questions:
  1. What is your party called? And what are the party's main platform/beliefs? (Please be creative! They don't have to be names or beliefs that exist in a current party).
  2.  How will the tasks be divided up in each of your teams? Who will be responsible for campaigning? Who will take responsibility for the debates?
  3. Who will be the nominated candidate? Who will be their running mate? Why?
  4. What does the party wish to convey to the other party? How will this be incorporated into the campaign, debate, and speech strategies?
  5.  How will you convince people to vote for you? What factors might play a role in who votes for you?
Election Committee

As the election committee you will have to address the following key questions:
  1. What will be the main issues to be debated and addressed? (Please be creative, they do not need to be issues being debated in the current election - consider what is relevant to you and your peers).
  2.  How do you plan to structure the election? What type of 'system' will you use? Why?
  3. How will the tasks be divided up on your team?
  4. How will you run the debate? What format will you use? How will you moderate it?
  5. Who will be in charge of the logistics - making ballots, etc?
  6. How will the actual election day take place? How will you ensure that voting is fair and transparent?

Good luck - and may the best candidate win!
