Travel Plan To Mexico

Part 1:  The teacher will assign different groups (four students in each group).

Part 2: Each student will need to research and gather information on different cities and their history, traditions, culture, and entertainment. Next, the student must select  a city that he or she would like to visit. Below are a few resources to help select a city of interest:

Part 3: After each member of the group selects a city, then the group must come together and share their findings. Next, the group must come to a consensus on where they will go and notify the teacher of the selected city (to prevent repeated projects).


Part 4: Then, each member of the group will be responsible of researching a specific topic to help plan the logistics of the trip. Please read the topics and choose one.


A. Safety:This person will be in charge of researching the safety procedures when traveling to Mexico.Remember to include vaccinations.

 B. Lodging:This person is in charge of choosing the best location to stay at while in Mexico.Remember to consider a location that has easy access to tourist attractions,hospitals, and grocery stores.

C. Airfare:This person is in charge of doing extensive research in order to find the best price for the trip�s airfare.

D. Transportation:This person is in charge of figuring out the average costs of transportation and the best form of transportation while in Mexico.

Part 5: Then each member must research and find 3 different historical, cultural, and recreational activities that he or she would like to participate in (9 total). Remember to take note of the nearby locations and costs of the activities. Below are a few links to help you decide what you would like to do and see. If your city of interest is not specifically listed below, please make sure to research your specific city as well.

Part 6: Next, come together and share your findings. Come to a consensus on where you want to go and what you will do with the money that you have as a group.


Part 7: Now, figure out your itinerary and the cost of the total trip without going over your budget. Then equally divide the work of making a creative PowerPoint that illustrates your itinerary that includes the total cost of the trip. Remember to include pictures, videos, etc. to make your presentation engaging for your audience.


Part 8: Finally, write a 1 page reflection paper about you liked and did not like about this trip. Also, reflect on this assignment and write about what you learned.
