Shop With A Cop

     Charlestown Police Department as been helping out kids since 1979. They police department usually help out 15 to 20 needy first graders from the Charlestown area every year. They raise the money from local businesses and roadblocks in the Charlestown area.
    
     The police department gets the names of the kids from the local schools Jonathan Jennings Elementary and Pleasant Ridge Elementary. The kids get $300 for clothes and toys.  The parents of each kid receive a $75 gift card to a local grocery store to help him or her pay for Christmas dinner.
    
     Anthony Snell has been the coordinator for the program for the past 3 years. Anthony Snell would like to thank the families of the police officers for donating their time with roadblocks and shopping with kids.
    
     This is a non-profit charitable program that is sponsored by the Charlestown police department. All the police officers, their families, and all others involved have volunteered and their help is greatly appreciated. If you would like to make a donation for next year please send a check to Charlestown Police Department, 701 Main St. Charlestown, Indiana 47111. Please make the memo for shop with a cop.
