            The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been chosen to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 14, 2012, in Cleveland, Ohio. The band started in 1983 in Los Angeles, California. They are considered a funk rock to alternative rock band. They are labeled with EMI and Warner Brothers. The active members of the band are Anthony Kiedis, Michael “flea” Balzary, Chad Smith, and Josh Klinghoffer. The band has had several members come and go, as well as the death of former member Hillel Slovak.

            The Red Hot Chili Peppers have sold over 70 million albums worldwide. The band holds the record for twelve number one singles on the alternative songs chart. The band has won seven Grammy Awards.

            I’m With You, their last album that came out in 2011, was their tenth album and was on the top charts in eighteen different countries.
