Monday:

  1. Look through the different explorers that you have to choose from.
  2. Pick one explorer that you would like to research.
  3. Start by using the resources that I have attached to find information on your explorer. You need to find out the reasons for exploration, obstacles faced, accomplishments and how they got along with the Native Americans.
  4. I have attached a chart to help you organize your information while you are researching
Tuesday:
  1. Finish your research if you haven't already.
  2. Once you are done researching your explorer make a circle map with your explorers name in the middle and list all of the facts you found out about him in the circle around it.
Wednesday:
  1. You are required to make a "Who am I"activity.
  2. With the facts that you have found out about your explorer choose #1, 2, or 3 from the task section.
  3. When writing this activity use the brain pop video to help you remember how to write in first person.
Thursday:
  1. For the first five minutes finish up your who am I activity.
  2. We will be sharing these activities with the class.
  3. You will read what activity you have chosen and try and prompt the class to guess what explorer you are writing about.
