African Enslavement

African Enslavement was the process of importing Africans from Sierra Leone to work in the New World, the Africans were forced to become slaves, these enslaved Africans were treated as the chattel (personal property) of the owner and are bought and sold as commodities.                                                                                                                                        

  











What is a Slave Trade?

- the procuring, transporting, and selling of human beings as slaves.

What is the Triangular Slave Trade?

-The Atlantic slave trade or Triangular slave trade involved the transportation by slave traders of enslaved African people, mainly to the Caribbean Islands (British West Indies). The slave trade regularly used the triangular trade route.
