Relational Understanding of Integration

The purpose of the Integration Web Quest is to get users to use the application of the definite and indefinite integral and seeing how much of a relational understanding they have. These integrations will be used to compute areas between curves, volumes of solids, and the work done by a varying force. The practice will include integration of indefinite integrals and definite integrals, and then students will come together to discuss and reflect on their understanding. The goal is to get students to understand the concept of integration and take into consideration these examples in order to gain a relational understanding of integration. The students will come into groups after solving the problems and collaborate in order to show their understanding and share their ideas on a mind map.
