Should smart phones be use In The Classroom?

You have been newly promoted as the principal For the Day, However much talk is going around that Smart phones  should be used in classroom.

You need to address both your Student and Teacher alike whether this is allow. Providing justifiable reason(s) for your claim. Please provide at least three reason why or Why Not to use  Smart phone should be use in the Classroom.

To be present At a  staff meeting today at 11:30 am and at general assemble at 12:00 pm to inform your student population.She stated that district has decided that they would like teachers to use :smartphones in the classroom. How do you feel about this?

                                       Should Smart Phone be use in the classroom?

According to Prensky, this younger generation of students have "spent their entire lives surrounded by and using computers, video games, digital music players, video cams, cell phones, and all the other toys and tools of the digital age" (Prensky, 2001, p.9). These Digital Natives have created their own communities of interest on Facebook, Whatsapp and Twitter as well as chosen to be there virtually even during class time (Akhras, 2012). The rapid advance of technology is driving educators to implement tools they may have just learned. Uncontrollably the rapidly advancing mobile computing technologies along with abundant mobile software applications (“mobile apps” hereafter) make ubiquitous mobile learning possible (Johnson, Adams, & Cummins, 2012). Educational apps are making things easier for children to understand. Books are often found to be tiring and boring for children while replacing them with colourful pages and moving animations can make learning fun.
