Close your eyes and take a quick minute to think; what is the most beautiful place you’ve ever seen? Where is it?! Is it a natural place or man-made? Is it possible for beautiful places be both natural and man-made?

Yes! There are beautiful places both man-made and natural. Now, imagine you could be a time traveling archeologist with the power to go back hundreds of years to explore some of the most beautiful places known to man! Centuries ago, we had seven places so beautiful they became wonders. These were named the seven wonders. However, through time, these wonders have been lost, torn down or disappeared completely and they have been replaced with what we now consider “modern” wonders. The wonders we will learn about in this lesson are referred to as the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World along with the modern wonders and natural wonders as well.

Why are they considered ancient? What exactly has happened to them through the years? Where are they located? What is the difference between these three? These are all questions that you will find out today! Let’s travel through time together and explore these wonders! Ready? Set! Go!
