Introduction
Essential Question: What are contractions and how can contractions be used everyday in writing and speaking?
We use contractions everyday! Sometimes we don't even know we are using them!
Contractions are:
Two words that are shortened into one word using an apostrophe.
"The Contraction Crocodile Crunch" Song. Sing the song in the same tone as the song, "The Hokey Pokey"!
He puts 2 words in,
He spits 2 words out.
He puts 2 words in,
And crunches them all about.
He does the Contraction Crocidle Crunch
and spits a contraction out,
Thats what it's all about-
YUM. YUM!
