CONGRATULATIONS!!!

You have completely finished the WebQuest! This Webquest was filled with a load of work and I know that you have worked extremely hard to complete this! I am VERY proud of you!

While working independently, with your partner and with the entire class, you have learned many new things!

you have learned:
  • That contractions are used everyday in our writing and even when we speak.
  • Contractions shorten two words into one word.
  • The correct way to write and use contractions.

We watched a fun video and read the book, "If You Were a Contraction", to introduce to you what contractions are and look like. We conducted surgery on words to form them into contractions, and played many different games to help us learn and understand how contractions are used and how to correctly write them.

We did a ton of work the past few days and you deserve to give yourself a pat on the back! You now know how to identify a contraction, how to create one correctly, and how to use the in our writings. We use contractions everyday when speaking and writing and sometimes you may not even realize you did so!
