HEALTH PROMOTION THEORIES

Oral health problems are common among many segments of our population.  Athletes who refuse to wear mouth-guards are a risk of oral injury.  Infants and toddlers who are fed cariogenic liquids are at risk for early childhood caries. Health promotion theories help us analyze and  interpret these problems in order to better plan and evaluate interventions.  This WebQuest will aid you in understanding and applying five health promotion theories relevant to community oral health.
