Council of the European Union

Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union has just come to an end. As Presidency rotates among Member States every six months, in the first half of 2012 Denmark will be the host country. Why is holding the rotating Presidency so important for every presiding Member State? The answer lies in Council of the European Union itself.
