Can I Buy a World Series?

In Major League Baseball, players are paid millions of dollars each year by team owners.  The MLB has no salary cap which means teams can spend as much money as they want and lure players to their team by offering lucrative contracts.  This prevents all teams from competing fairly due to lack of funds to spend on players.  Today, you are going to research who has won the World Series in the past and how much money did they spend on team salary.  Do teams that spend more money on team salary win World Series?  Do teams that spend very little money still win titles?
