Students are expected to work collaboratively, take notes on the videos and articles and stay focused on the task.  They are to respect each others views and disagree or suggest changes politely.

Students have three writing assignments:  a character development piece, a poem describing the days leading up to the character's arrival on board the ship and a poem describing the character's experience on board the ship at sea.
