With Texture
- Vary the amount of paint used in printing
- Use objects that create different textures, such as sponges, corrugated paper, wadded paper or cloth, stones, vegetables, and sandpaper.
With background paper
- use a variety of shapes and sizes of paper
- Paint background paper and allow it to dry before printing,
- Paste pieces of tissues or colored construction paper onto background paper, allow to dry then paint.
- Print a stippled design on background with sponge, allow to dry, then print with a solid object
With pattern
- Print a shape in straight rows or zigzag. Repeat design to create an all over pattern
- Use a different shape for each row and add a second color in alternate rows
- Print in a border design with a single shape or group of shapes.d
