Are People Squares?

Conclusion

From your research your group has practiced determining the Line of Best Fit and calculated the Correlation Coefficient for linear models.  You might use these skills in your science classes as well when you compare two data fields that may or may not be related.

While your use of these skills will most likely apply to data that seems to form a straight line, there are times when a linear model would not be appropriate, such as data that seems to curve instead of appearing like a line.  Your calculator, and the spreadsheet program, will most likely be able to calculate these as well, though a correlation coefficient cannot be calculated.

So, while this project may at first have seemed like it would only apply to the Statistics class, you may find uses in other fields as well!  Who'd have thunk, right?
