Suicide in Romeo and Juliet

Conclusion

Although we all enjoy reading drama, this tale of Romeo and Juliet is truly tragic. I hope that in seeing this drama from the perspective of mental health you will be able to find resources to share with your loved ones. Or if you are truly service oriented, perhaps this will lead you to open a conversation about helping others on a larger scale.

Mental health problems such as depression are real. They are not something that we just "snap out of." When Romeo locked himself in his room and cried for days, he was depressed. His self-induced isolation really was a cry for help that his family and friends did not understand. I know that you have found unique ways that He and Juliet could have been helped. I look forward to seeing your solutions.
