Reconstruction Plan

This period of American history was a difficult period.  There was no plan made for this by our founding fathers.  It was hard to find the right balance between being to leniant towards the south, which would anger many in the north, or being harsh towards the south, that would create resentment toward the north forever by southerners.   I hope all of you know now how difficult this was on so many and how important Reconstruction is in our history.
