Students will use geographic tools to recognize and interpret physical environment such as oceans, continents, river,lake, mountain, range, sea, desert, gul, bay, strain, plain valley, volcano,peninsula.
Task
You will learn about different deserts located at Arizona. You will also identify different desert animals and plants located at Arizona.
Description of the Desert Animal or Plant
You will be drawing a desert plant such as Saguaro cactus or an animal such as Coyote. After drawing the plant or animal, you will write a short description about the plant or animal.
Process
You will watch a short media clip Sonoran Desert Museum clipart describing information desert animals and plants.
Trip to Sonoran Desert Museum
In order to to provide students with extra knowledge about desert animals and plant, students will be going to the Arizona desert Museum located at Tucson, AZ.
Questions to answer
- How do desert animals survive in a highly heated environment?
- Where does tortoise save the water?
- How do human beings adapt to the desert environment?
