In order to maintain order in a society, the government creates rules and laws. This also helps the government fulfill needs of individuals living in the society. In United States of America, local, state and federal governments maintains order, provides needed services and protects basic rights, freedom and liberties. The American citizens supports the government by participating in their government by voting.
