Surface Flow- Surface water flow is simply the continuous movement of water in runoff or open channels. Sub-surface Flow- The flow of water at a shallow depth beneath the ground surface; it may be influenced by relatively impermeable layers which enlarge lateral flow. Land degradation-Land degradation is the reduction or loss of the biological or economic productivity and complexity of rain-fed cropland, irrigated cropland, or range, pasture, forest, or woodlands resulting from natural processes, land uses or other human activities and habitation patterns such as land contamination, soil erosion and the destruction of the vegetation cover. Stormwater runoff- Stormwater runoff is rain that flows off building rooftops, driveways, lawns, streets, parking lots, construction sites, and industrial storage yards. Developed areas are covered by buildings and pavement, which do not allow water to soak into the ground.
