Adding and subtracting like terms

This WebQuest is about adding and subtracting like terms and constants in equations and expressions. This WebQuest would take about 1 and a half hours to complete . It would be helpful if students are allowed to take their own technological devices . You could bring the projector to class to facilitate the class as a whole.

Standards

This WebQuest was based on the National Standards Curriculum (NSC).

Strand: Algebra 

Topic: Making rules, Equations & Expressions, Simplification

Sub-Topic: Adding and subtracting like terms and constants in equations and expressions.

This is suitable for  students in the grades 6-8. This will build students problem solving and critical thinking skills.

This takes them back to simply adding and subtracting.
