Bilingualism and Second Language Learning
Teacher Page
The low ability of teachers in the field of English is a major and greatest challenge faced by teachers, especially now teachers must face the proliferation of schools labeled "international", "international pilot", or "national plus". The cause of this is because so far the school and teachers have not approached integration between content or subjects and English. "Not all subject teachers can be empowered to provide English-language material, unless the teachers are really ready. Ready in the sense that the subject teacher already has good English skills,"
Teaching English is also not just a matter of telling students about new vocab every day, grammar training, or translating writing. In real life communicating using English is in fact not as simple as what we teach in class. So, make sure we teach students from general information to the most detailed. So, they can understand the big concept of why they learn a to z and can practice it. This method can help students understand the material and remember it longer, than just memorizing, memorizing and memorizing.
