This web quest was inspired by a discussion that I had with my students as I introduced the articles provided by A.C. Quintero's Identidad y Cultura mini unit from Teaching Spanish Made Easy. Some of my students wanted to know more about transgender people and some were too uncomfortable with the subject matter. I was relieved to see how creative and thought-provoking my student presentations were and the majority of the girls in the class selected to provide information about the rights of the "transgender" population. Therefore, I can say not to be so afraid that you are offending someone when you're simply trying to just educate someone. That's my lesson in doing this web quest.
