I developed this webquest for 6th graders.  However, it could be used for 7th or 8th graders for review purposes.  I believe this webquest could take 4 to 5 days to complete.  Day 1 would be setting up the groups, explaning how this webquest works, and gathering information.  Day 2 would be used to continue finding out information, doing the worksheets, and begin developing their crimeboards along with the suspect's composite.  Day 3 would be working on their crimeboards, suspect's composite, and powerpoints.  Day 4 could be completing their powerpoints and begin to present.  Day 5 would be presentations!  :)

I suggested groups of three to do this webquest, but you could easily adjust your groups to four or with partners.  Depends on how many students you may have in your class.

You can use this webquest during the year or as a culminating activity at the end of the year after the SOL exam.  It's a good way to review polygons, and for the students to learn another way for quadrilaterals.  Teamwork and collaboration is an important skill for all students to learn and practice.

Have fun using this with you math classes!  :)
