Smart Art - Our Greeting Card Company
Task
You will each get to choose 2 events to celebrate and design artwork using a variety of supplies and lessons on art. You can use paint, chalk, pastels, crayons, pencils, and drawing lessons available on the internet. You will decide all the details of what your card should look like.
You will learn what symbols usually go with certain celebrations. For example, we often see balloons when we are celebrating birthdays. This is true of other symbols too. In our class we have students from other countries and we will add celebrations from their countries to our list of ideas to choose from.
How do you think cards get to your house? Together, you will learn about the importance of the post office.
As you learn how to create your company, you will create two original works of art. With computers, we will turn your works of art into greeting cards.
