The Buzz about Bees

1)  First, you will be assigned a partner to work with on the HoneyBee Scavenger Hunt (located as an attachment in folder #3 at the bottom of this page).  You and your partner will use the website links provided at the bottom to find the answers to the HoneyBee Scavenger Hunt.

2) After completing the HoneyBee Scavenger Hunt, you and your partner will label the parts of a bee's body on Bee Body worksheet  (located in folder #1).  Again, use the website links provided at the bottom to help with the answers.

3) After the Bee Body worksheet is completed, you and your partner will study Pollination Map (in folder #1) and complete the Pollination worksheet.  Again, use the website links at the bottom to locate your answers.

4) When you and your partner have finished the Pollination map, you both will follow instructions on the Honey Worksheet to complete the Honey Map of the United States (found in folder #1).  As always, use the links provided at the bottom to complete the problems.

5)  Finally, you and your partner will use your answers to the Scavenger Hunt and the other worksheets as a basis for creating a powerpoint presentation on bees.  The powerpoint presentation will be about everything that you have learned about bees and why they are important to nature.  The powerpoint will be 8-10 slides in length beginning with a title slide.  There is an example of a powerpoint presentation on bees that you and your partner may look at for ideas on how to get started.  You and your partner will be responsible for presenting your powerpoint presentation to your class.
