1. Recapitulation of how to calculate unit price will be done. This will be done by viewing the PowerPoint presentation in the attachment below.
After watching the following video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZI4WaviYNsk. 

2. Students will be asked work out the best buy in the following problem
Solutions:

6 pairs of socks for $429 or 4 pairs of socks for $284
Unit Price = $429/6                                                                                           Unit Price =$284/4
=$71.50                                                                                                                                 =$71.00
∴ the better buy is 4 pairs of socks for $284

Individual student will be required to write their solutions on the whiteboard. Through questions and answers the students will be required to explain the steps involved in calculating best buy. This will be written on the whiteboard and students will be encouraged to write the steps in their notebook for future reference.

Steps
That is:
-Calculate the unit cost
-Unit cost/price =(Total cost )/(Number of goods /services)
-Compare the unit cost. The lowest/cheapest unit price or cost is the best/better buy


3. Students will click on the link from the PowerPoint to play a game on best buys.

Students will work each questions in groups of four.
