PROCESS TWO

This is a pair activity.


Step1- Open Microsoft Office Word on your desktop.

Step 2- Place your names, today's date and your class name at the top right corner of the page.

Step 3- Save your document as Parts of speech and Ambiguity.

Step 4 -Copy and paste the following instructions and questions on your page:


Type the part of speech of the underlined word in each of the following sentences. 

1) The running man was late for work.

2) Running is good for the body.

3) I was running to catch the bus yesterday.

4) We heard loud cries all night.

5) The baby cries whenever he is in discomfort.

6) All children need love.

7) She lost all she owned.


In each of the following sentences,identify the word or phrase which causes ambiguity and show all the possible meanings for each sentence.

1) Kids make nutritious snacks.

2) They decided on the boat

3) The police stopped the man with a gun.

4) I just met a man with a wooden leg named Fred.
5) Tickets are available for the soccer game in the lobby.

6) I let the cat out with my bathrobe on.

7) They rented furniture for their apartment that cost $200 per week.
